Desk Chat is a private Chrome extension for accessing the owner's existing PC terminal conversations. It requires a separately operated PC gateway and authorized access.
The extension displays and transmits user prompts, completed replies, terminal conversation identifiers and status, queued messages, settings actions, and saved account-wide usage readings. These are used only to provide the requested chat and session controls.
Connection preferences, selected conversations, message drafts and pending request identifiers are stored locally in the Chrome profile. Chat history and queued work are managed by the owner's PC gateway and terminal applications. Chrome handles the existing mirror login and authentication cookies. The extension does not include, read or save mirror passwords or model API keys.
Remote gateway requests use HTTPS. An optional loopback connection uses HTTP only to 127.0.0.1 on the same PC. Prompts sent to an existing terminal may be processed by that terminal's configured AI provider under the owner's account and that provider's policies. The remote gateway uses Cloudflare for network delivery. Desk Chat has no advertising or analytics integration, does not sell information, and does not read ordinary browsing-page content or browsing history.
Removing the extension clears its extension-local data. Removing the extension does not delete conversations, queue records or logs already stored on the PC or by the configured AI provider. Those records must be managed at their source. Closing the panel does not cancel work already submitted.
Installing the extension does not grant access to the PC. The gateway independently checks its authentication and existing device-enrollment rules. Private Store distribution limits who can install the listing but does not replace server authentication.
